About This Role
As an HR Advisor — Compliance Specialist, you will serve as the primary compliance resource for a portfolio of 20–40 Catapult HR member organizations. You’ll guide clients through complex federal and state employment law questions, conduct policy audits, support I-9 compliance programs, and provide proactive updates on regulatory changes affecting their workforces. This is a high-impact advisory role that requires both technical expertise and the ability to communicate clearly with HR teams and executives.
What You’ll Do
- Advise a portfolio of 20–40 member clients on FLSA, I-9, ADA, FMLA, and state employment law compliance
- Conduct HR compliance audits and develop corrective action plans
- Draft and update employee handbook policies and employment agreements
- Monitor legislative and regulatory changes and communicate impacts to clients proactively
- Support clients through DOL and EEOC inquiries and agency audits
- Deliver compliance training to client HR teams and managers
- Collaborate with Catapult HR attorneys and senior advisors on escalated matters
What We’re Looking For
- 5+ years of HR experience with strong compliance focus
- SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred
- Deep knowledge of FLSA, I-9, ADA, FMLA, and relevant state laws
- Experience serving multiple client organizations or business units simultaneously
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, or related field
