Workplace Harassment Prevention for Managers, version 3.0

Overview:

Discrimination and harassment at work can have a corrosive effect on an organization's culture and can lead to low employee morale, reduced productivity, and even criminal liability. This course will provide an overview of the types of behaviors that can give rise to discrimination, harassment, and retaliation claims, including those based on sex, race, color, national origin, religion, age, and disability. It will also discuss the benefits of and strategies for promoting a respectful work environment that is free of all forms of harassment, intimidation, and discrimination, while focusing on the specific role managers have in modeling appropriate behavior, responding to inappropriate conduct, and handling complaints from employees. If you have questions about harassment either during or after this course, please contact the designated human resources professional at your company who is trained in this area.

This course covers ways employees can help reduce risks associated with physical security. It presents guidelines for controlling access to work areas and describes how to keep laptops, mobile devices, and other equipment secure, avoiding potential theft of such items. The course also covers general practices for ensuring physical safety, particularly for those who work alone.

Zoom is an online communication platform that you can access from its web page or by downloading the application. In this 10-video course, learners will discover how to use Zoom's different features to easily set up and hold meetings from home. Begin by discovering how to sign in and out of the application and explore the interface. This leads into learning how to create meetings, invite people, and examine the meeting features, along with scheduling, viewing, and managing meetings.

Next, learn how to install the Outlook plug-in and schedule meetings using the application; examine different ways to join a meeting, and manage participants; and study audio and video options, and the view mode. Learners will also discover how to share and annotate a screen as well as how to send and receive files; how to record, manage, and configure a meeting; how to send and receive messages; and how to save a chat.

The course concludes by demonstrating how to configure the general settings as well as audio, video, and screen settings.
