Business Analyst

Burlington Industries, a global textile manufacturer and supplier to the US Military, is looking for an experienced Business Systems Analyst to provide support to its manufacturing operation in Raeford, NC. The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting and maintaining all manufacturing systems. Additionally, the position is responsible for planning, analyzing, documenting and facilitating enhancements and upgrades to the systems to support process and continuous improvement initiatives. This person will participate in a current project to upgrade the plant floor tracking systems and then after go-live, support the use of that new toolset to help the plant facilitate process improvements.
Specific responsibilities include:
Support resolution of tickets by conducting root cause analysis and implementing recommended changes to business processes or system configurations.
Design and develop required business solutions to support manufacturing operations; prioritize requirements.
Identify reporting needs and work with plant management to develop effective, appropriate solutions.
Participate as a core member of both IT and plant teams to collaborate in the planning, design, development, and deployment of new applications, enhancements to existing applications, and replacement of obsolete applications.
Plan and conduct user training.
Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, finance or Business and two or more years related work experience. Other requirements include:
Experience in a manufacturing environment, supporting core application software such as customer order management, inventory control, production planning, scheduling, work in process tracking, machine control, purchasing, accounting and costing systems.
Working knowledge of relational database software such as Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server and Microsoft Operating Systems
Working knowledge with ODBC reporting tools and techniques. Experience with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and/or Power BI a plus
Proficiency in MS Office applications including Access, Excel, Excel macros and Visual Basic for applications
Working knowledge of Visual Basic in order to troubleshoot and debug legacy applications
