We are looking for an enthusiastic Communications Public Relations Specialist who can assist us in completing the redesign of our website, improving customer service communications, strengthening our brand with digital advertising, and relaunching our community initiatives within the first few months of the job.

In addition to creating written and visual communications and marketing materials, additional duties will include making sure members know what services the co-op offers so that they can take advantage of them to the fullest.

Requirements

Ability to apply your knowledge of communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or graphic design on our team.
Working knowledge of website editing with WordPress, email design through MailChimp, advertisement through Google AdWords or other similar platforms.
Skill to write for a public audience and be able to edit graphic design through the Adobe Suite and/or Canva.
Experience with all social media platforms and community outreach will be essential in your role at Piedmont Electric.
Assist with communication efforts during large power outages and other crisis situations.
Able to establish and maintain relationships with external and internal audiences.
All other duties and projects as assigned by management.
Must pass a background check and drug screen.
