HR Generalist

Summary:

Atlantic Medical Management (AMM) is looking for a HR Generalist. AMM is a corporate medical management firm that is dedicated to improving patient care. We are looking for a qualified and resourceful HR Generalist to support our human resources team ensuring efficient operations. The HR Generalist will perform and manage general HR and administrative tasks including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, employee relations, compliance and training, etc. This is an in-office position based in Cary, NC.

Essential Functions:

Performs recruiting and hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions
Reviews, tracks and documents compliance with mandatory training, continuing educations, etc.
Conducts the onboarding process, including but not limited to, background checks, drug screens, etc.
Coordinates, implements and oversees the new hire orientations
Maintains accurate and up-to-date human resource files, records and documentation
Maintains integrity and confidentiality of human resource files and records
Assists with recruiting activities, including by not limited to, contacting schools, attending or assisting with job fairs, etc.
Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits and leave; disciplinary matters disputes and investigations; performance management; recognition and morale; disputes and investigations’ occupational health and safety; and training and development
Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the Director of Human Resources
Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, investigation and unemployment hearings
Assists with planning and execution of special events such as benefits enrollment, organization-wide meetings, employee recognition events, holiday parties, etc.
Maintains compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices; reviews polices and procedures to maintain compliance
Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in human resources, talent management and employment law
Effectively communications policies and procedures to employees as necessary.
Maintains strict confidentiality in accordance with policies.
Conforms to acceptable attendance and punctuality standards as expressed in the Employee Handbook.
Complies with all safety rules and protocols. Reports all accidents, regardless of severity, immediately to supervisor and completes incident/injury report for, which needs to be forwarded to Human Resources within 24 hours of incident.
Abides by the company’s compliance program and requirements.
Abides by the company’s policies and procedures.
Remains current with all required training.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or related field
3+ years of experience working in the human resources field
At least 2 years of experience in employee relations and compliance
At least 1 year of experience with compensation and benefits programs
Human resources certification- PHR preferred, or willingness to obtain
Demonstrable experience with human resources metrics
Expert knowledge of HR systems and databases
Experience with Diversity & Inclusion initiatives
Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA) and the ability to appropriately identify employment risk issues
Capacity to apply discretion and maintain a high level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information
Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws governing employee relations practices
Ability to develop and manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality
Ability to travel as needed
