Pine Lake Prep, a North Carolina A rated public charter school, has an immediate opening for a full-time customer service focused IT Support Specialist II. This position provides direct support to our staff, students and parents across the entire range of technologies in use at the school. This includes MacOS computers, iPads, Apple TVs, Voip phones, projectors, TVs, cameras, etc.

More than any specific knowledge, the ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to deliver excellent customer service to our community and the desire to learn and grow in the position.

Essential functions of the position include:

• Owns managing our JAMF MDM server, including DB backups, server and sw updates
• Manages all software deployed to student and staff macOS devices
• Maintains macOS scripts for managing student devices
• Owns yearly onboarding procedures for online services
• Provides in depth technical expertise for Macs and iPads
• Provides excellent customer service to staff, students and parents.
• Identify, research, and resolve end-user hardware and software issues.
• Provide end-user technical support and appropriate training for the school’s hardware and software applications.
• Provides technical support for campus events requiring network connectivity, printing, audio/video connections, software and audio-visuals.
• Document, track, and maintain accurate and timely information for support tickets and asset inventory.
• Stays abreast of the latest changes and developments in the information technology industry, including emerging trends and best practices in educational technology.
• Prepares, configures, and supports Mac computers and iPads using JAMF MDM.
• Install, configure, and maintain Windows laptops, desktops, phones, printers, copiers and other end user devices.
• May occasionally be required to provide support after main hours to complete support and project tasks.

• 2+ years experience providing IT Support to end users
• Experienced in supporting Apple products, including macOS, iPads, configurator, etc
• Superior customer service skills when working with customers of all ages from 4 to 70+
• Independent and self-directed work ethic with a desire to learn and tackle new challenges.
• Work collegially with teachers and staff in a highly collaborative environment.
• Ability to communicate clearly in written, digital, and verbal mediums.
• Must be a self-starter and able to prioritize tasks in a fast paced environment.

• Experience providing support in a K-12 educational setting
• Experience with JAMF MDM
• Experience with enterprise Microsoft technologies such as AD, Office365, Skype, Office, etc.
• Technical Associate’s degree or Bachelor’s degree preferred
