The International Institute of Building Enclosure Consultants (IIBEC), an international professional association headquartered in Raleigh, N.C., seeks a dynamic Membership & Credentials Specialist to join our team. This role will assist the credentials department with activities related to individuals seeking their designations in IIBEC’s credentials program and will assist the membership department as needed.


 Oversee the credentials application process for applicants from start to finish before sending to Senior Director of Membership and Credentials for approval:
o -Answer application related inquiries
o -Confirm receipt of application with applicant
o -Follow up with references, CEH’s, transcripts and license documentation submitted by applicant. Document all updates and provide updates to applicants.
 Assist with exam registration by:
o creating invoices
o sending exam forms
o organizing documentation and payment required for examination
o setting expectations with applicant
 Update applicant profiles as necessary with:
o -Exam results
o -Application expiration
o -Reapplication eligibility
 Maintain a positive, professional relationship with third party vendors.
 Ensure the online credential application system is meeting the needs of the credential department and applicants.
 Notify applicants of retest eligibility for credentials.
 Compile data for credential reports.
 Provide assistance with incoming IIBEC phone calls.
 Assist with Convention duties as needed.
 Perform other duties as assigned.

A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a membership capacity or an association is preferred. An associate degree is required.

This position requires proficient writing and communication skills, superb attention to detail, and the ability to multi-task. The candidate must possess a general knowledge of office procedures, routine business interactions, and the ability to work independently to meet deadlines. Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to work in a collaborative environment. Candidates must be able to work under pressure and adapt to a changing environment. Some travel is required.

Additional requirements include at least two years of experience with Microsoft Office (including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), web and web-based technologies. Prior experience with a membership database is preferred.
