Salary Range $39,893-$42,962.
Granville-Vance Public Health is currently accepting applications for the position of Nutritionist I in the Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) program.
WIC is a supplemental food program for pregnant, breastfeeding women, infants, and children. The purpose of the program is to provide supplemental nutritious foods, nutrition education, breastfeeding support as an adjunct to good health care to pregnant, breastfeeding women, postpartum women, infants, and young children; to prevent occurrence of health problems and to improve the health status of WIC participants.
This position will be providing professional nutritional services to individual clients or small groups with uncomplicated or well managed health issues in the Special Supplemental Food Program for Women, Infants, and Children.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Graduation from a Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education – approved Didactic Program in Dietetics; or Dietetic Technician, Registered with the Commission on Accreditation for Dietetics Education with a bachelor’s degree in any subject area from an accredited four-year college or university; or a Bachelor of Science degree in Dietetics, Public Health Nutrition or Community Nutrition from an accredited four-year college or university.
Candidates should provide documentation of registration status from the Commission on Dietetic Registration, provide university or college transcripts or Commission of Accreditation for Dietetic Education verification statement.
