Experience with serving neurodiverse clients, bilingual therapy and AAC is preferred. CF candidates and certified SLP-A’s are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities include:

Perform comprehensive diagnostic evaluations on children and adolescents. Analyze, interpret and document evaluation results
Develop patient care plan with short term goals
Maintain all records in compliance with regulations, reimbursement requirements and job responsibilities
Plan and provide individual, group and/or co-treatment sessions according to individual needs and goals
Perform annual re-evaluations, adjusting goals and therapy as needed
When appropriate, write a discharge summary for each child
Provide family education and training to assist in carryover of skills into a client’s daily living environment
Communicate with other professionals such as physicians, psychologists, case workers, social workers, behavioral therapists, occupational therapists and physical therapists with signed release of information
Team with parent and/or other team members in a therapy session, as appropriate
Make appropriate referrals for additional services such as audiology, occupational therapy, physical therapy, behavioral therapy, dentistry, psychology, psychiatry
Maintain compliance with state and federal policies, North Carolina board of speech-language pathology and ASHA
Supervise assistants, volunteers, students, other SLPs as assigned
Participate in in-services and/or parent education training programs, as appropriate
Position may include daycare and/or home visits
