LS Cable & System USA is looking for a motivated, self-starting individual to join our Tarboro, NC manufacturing as Trainer. The trainer will be responsible for evaluating our needs & current practices and creating & delivering a training development plan, complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as training guides. Will also monitor OJT activities on the manufacturing floor. The ideal candidate will be a confident speaker and educator who is up-to-date on the latest tools and resources needed to improve employee training and performance.

LS Cable & System USA is a leading US manufacturer and supplier of energy wire and cable products serving the Commercial, Industrial, Renewable Energy and Utility markets.


Work closely with internal manufacturing subject matter experts and other partners to develop content for existing & new programs that are practical, interactive which deliver a high ROI. Conduct new hire training, monitor OJT in a manufacturing environment and other developmental training sessions. Assist Human Resource new employee tours and new hire onboarding.


Track and document training attendance and completion.
Providing quality training material which meets specific requested requirements, including program design, train the trainer support and evaluation techniques.
Conducting orientation programs and arranging on-the-job training for new hires.
Searching for gaps in training content and materials that need updating to generate higher productivity and safety among hourly & salary employees.
Researching new training supplies and materials that can enhance manufacturing training procedures while providing value to employees.
Identifying future training needs and creating a curriculum to facilitate that training.
Leading programs to assist employees with transitions due to technological changes, acquisitions and mergers
Communicating with management and team members to ensure that all needs are met.
Setting up and possibly deliver leadership development programs for lower-level employees.
Resolving any specific problems and tailoring training programs as necessary.
Coordinate training sessions and seminars.
Keep up-to-date with the latest training trends and best practice.

Experience with designing training programs and workshops
Experience with technologies and best practices for instructional manuals and teaching platforms
Strict adherence to company philosophy/mission statement/sales goals
Good interpersonal skills and communication with all levels of management
Organized and able to create multiple timelines and schedules
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
Excellent leadership, team building, and management skills
Encouraging to team and staff; able to mentor and lead
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to analyze problems and strategize for better solutions

Bachelor’s degree in education, business, human resources, information technology, or related field
Certification from talent and training associations a plus
Training experience in a manufacturing environment a plus
Two (2) years’ previous experience as a trainer, corporate training specialist, or related position a plus

Proficient computer skills, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel), and instructional software
