Why it matters here
HR training challenges facing New York teams
New York City counts 4,074,515 private-sector jobs (BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, 2025 annual averages, retrieved 2026-07-27) spread over 235,767 employer establishments, and 95 percent of those establishments have fewer than 50 employees (Census County Business Patterns, 2023, retrieved 2026-07-27). Most run lean HR teams. When one manager mishandles a complaint, there is rarely a specialist down the hall to catch it.

New York employment context
HR compliance for New York employers
New York sets the broadest harassment training mandate in the country. Under Labor Law section 201-g, every employer in the state, regardless of size, must give every employee interactive sexual harassment prevention training at least once a year, and part-time, seasonal and temporary workers all count. Training must meet or exceed the model published by the New York State Department of Labor and the Division of Human Rights, and online delivery qualifies only when it is genuinely interactive. New York City employers with 15 or more employees carry an additional annual training requirement under Local Law 96 of 2018, enforced by the NYC Commission on Human Rights. New York employers also generated 4,132 EEOC charge receipts in fiscal year 2025 (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27), so completion records are not optional paperwork. Catapult runs compliant harassment prevention sessions live online, so New York teams hit the statutory deadlines without leaving their desks.

One well-built annual session can satisfy both at once.
Yes. Every session is live online and open to anyone in New York. Sessions are scheduled on Eastern Time, which is New York’s own clock, so a 9:00 AM class starts at 9:00 AM local. In-person seats exist only in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; everywhere else attends virtually.
Leadership and management, harassment prevention and compliance, professional development, technology skills and HR certification prep, delivered live online or privately on-site. Yes. Most Catapult courses carry HRCI and SHRM recertification credit, and both bodies run 3-year, 60-credit recertification cycles, so regular attendance keeps HR professionals current without a scramble. Every attendee receives a completion record for their files.
Yes, and it is often the better fit for cohorts of 10 or more. Catapult runs private sessions for New York employers live online or on-site, scheduled around your shifts, with the same HRCI and SHRM credit and completion records.
