The V Foundation, one of the nation’s preeminent funding sources for cutting-edge cancer research, has an opening for Director of Human Resources. This role will lead the human resources function in the organization. The V Foundation is in the early stages of implementing a new strategic plan, which includes a bold vision and significant growth in revenue and programs. The Director of Human Resources will play a critical role to support current best-practices and consider enhancement opportunities as an employer of choice regionally and nationally. The Director of Human Resources is responsible for advising management at all levels regarding People matters and assisting in the implementation of business strategies. This position is a trusted advisor to leaders and oversees the design, development and execution of human resource strategies, including, but not limited to: recruitment, talent management, performance management, employee relations, culture development, benefit management, and organization design. This individual understands the value of Human Capital Management (HCM) in driving the bottom-line of the organization. This position is critical to the company’s goal of attracting, retaining, and rewarding key talent.
PLEASE NOTE: This position is located in Cary, North Carolina. Sponsorship, relocation reimbursement, and remote work are not available.

• VOLUNTEER PROGRAM MANAGEMENT
• CHAMPION OF VARIOUS WORK GROUPS (DEI, EMPLOYEE ENGAGEMENT,…)

Education, Skills & Experience:
• Experience with Paylocity highly desired, must have strong HRIS experience (ATS, Onboarding, Performance Management, Payroll & Benefits)
• Sole proprietor (full cycle) HR experience essential for success in this role.
• Nonprofit experience helpful but not required.
• California HR law experience preferred.
• Requires a BA/BS in human resources, business management or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience plus moderate management experience in human resources.
• 8-15 years of progressive Human Resource Management experience.
• Demonstrable sound leadership skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
• Requires above average attention to detail, accuracy and organizational, skills.
• Must be able to perform several tasks simultaneously in order to meet deadlines.
• Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills and ability to maintain confidentiality required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills including presentation skills.
• Excellent time management and decision-making skills are essential.
