Gloster is currently looking for a warehouse associate to join our South Boston, VA team. We are looking for a team player who works well independently as well as with a team. Warehouse Associates are responsible for receiving and processing incoming stock, picking and filling orders, packing and shipping orders, and assisting in maintaining the flow of stock on the warehouse floor.
Essential Function/Duties:
• Use forklift to put product away in proper place once received on container, as well as pull product for customer orders
• Assist in checking quantity and quality of shipment received
• Adhere to First In, First Out (FIFO) process
• Keep finished goods neat and orderly within locations
• Adhere to stock management systems
• Retrieve accurate product and quantities for appropriate orders
• Accurately follow pick tickets
• Build customer orders accurately
• Lift, push, and pull product manually when needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Follow all health and safety policies
• Other duties as assigned
Skills/Qualifications:
• Forklift, pallet jack, stretch wrap machine and hand banding machine experience preferred
• Warehouse experience required
• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be a team player with good communication skills
Competencies: Ability to communicate effectively across multiple channels is required. Must be self-motivated and have the ability to take initiative. In addition, maintaining a high-level of responsibility in regard to schedule adherence, the ability to read and follow directions, work well under pressure and with change, and teamwork is necessary.

Time will be spent walking, standing, and riding forklift. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Motions such as kneeling, stooping, and bending will be daily motions.
Work Environment: Must be able to work in a production warehouse environment which is not climate controlled. The environment may also be dusty and/or exposure to fiber particles. Ability to work a varied schedule when necessary and overtime as scheduled.
