Fulfills patient care responsibilities as assigned by RN Manager which may include: Checking schedules and organizing patient flow; accompanying patients to exam/procedure rooms: assisting patients as needed with walking, transfers, dressing, collections specimens, preparing exam rooms, collecting patient history; assisting physicians and nurses with various procedures; charting; relaying instructions to patients/families.
Fulfills clerical responsibilities as assigned by RN Manager which may include: completing pre-op documents for the surgical facility.
Fulfills environmental responsibilities which may include: maintain safety for patients, self and others; setting up instruments and equipment according to protocol; cleaning exam and procedure rooms; instruments and equipment between patient visits to maintain infection control; cleaning sterilizer according to scheduled maintenance program and keeping appropriate records; ordering, sorting, storing supplies; restocking exam/ procedure rooms.
Fulfills organizational responsibilities which may include: respecting/promoting patient rights; responding appropriately to emergency does; sharing problems relating to patients and or staff with immediate supervisors quickly.
Maintain clinical protocols with full consideration of patient safety and needs.
Document in patient EHR all records, orders, communication, referrals and reports.
Adhere to all policies, procedures and protocols including OSHA and HIPAA.
Advise CMA Supervisor in matters related to patient care and operation of the clinic.
Maintain patient confidentiality.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE JOB:
Room patients- take Vital Signs, review past medical history and history of present illness with patient and document in EHR.
Prepare Pre-Op paperwork for assigned Physician in advance of patient appointment and review consent forms with patients at the visit prior to seeing Physician.
Clean and stock exam/procedure rooms as assigned Daily and Weekly and document in logbook.
Assist nurses in scheduling procedures and diagnostic testing.
After thorough training and meeting competency requirements in Allergy injections – administer allergy injections as directed by Allergy RN Supervisor meeting all protocols for the RCENT Allergy Department.
