Sample Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA) Policy

This is a sample FMLA policy that should be included in your Employee Handbook if you are covered under FMLA regulations [elementary and secondary schools, public employers, and private employers with at least 50 employees (including temps even through an agency)].

This is not a complete FMLA policy. You should have an internal HR policy that contains a full explanation of how your company will implement FMLA. This document should be available to your employees.
