Accessibility Policy
Catapult HR’s commitment to making our digital experiences accessible to everyone.
Effective Date: March 2026
Our Commitment to Accessibility
Catapult HR is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for people with disabilities. We continually improve the user experience for everyone and apply relevant accessibility standards to ensure we provide equal access to all of our online information and services.
We believe that every person deserves equal access to information and functionality on our website, regardless of ability or the technology they use to access the web.
Standards We Follow
Catapult HR aims to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities. Conformance with these guidelines helps make the web more user-friendly for all people.
Our accessibility efforts are guided by the following standards and frameworks:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA (W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines)
- Section 508 of the Rehabilitation Act
- Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requirements for digital content
- WAI-ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) authoring practices
Accessibility Features Implemented
We have implemented the following accessibility features on our website:
Visual Accessibility
- Alternative Text: All meaningful images include descriptive alt text. Decorative images are marked appropriately so screen readers can skip them.
- Color Contrast: Text and interactive elements meet or exceed WCAG 2.1 AA color contrast ratios (minimum 4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text).
- Text Resizing: Text can be resized up to 200% without loss of content or functionality.
- No Color-Only Information: We do not rely solely on color to convey information; we use additional visual indicators such as icons or text labels.
Navigation and Interaction
- Keyboard Navigation: All functionality is accessible via keyboard. Users can navigate through all interactive elements using the Tab key and activate them using Enter or Space.
- Skip Navigation Links: A “Skip to main content” link is available at the top of each page to allow keyboard and screen reader users to bypass repetitive navigation.
- Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements so keyboard users can see where they are on the page.
- Logical Tab Order: The tab order follows the visual and logical flow of the page.
Screen Reader Support
- Semantic HTML: We use proper HTML heading structure (H1–H6), landmark regions (header, main, nav, footer), and semantic elements to provide meaningful structure.
- ARIA Labels: Where HTML semantics are insufficient, we use ARIA labels and roles to provide additional context for assistive technologies.
- Form Accessibility: All form fields have associated labels, and error messages are programmatically associated with their respective fields.
- Link Purpose: Links have descriptive text that makes their purpose clear, even when read out of context.
Media and Content
- Video Captions: Videos published on our site include captions for users who are deaf or hard of hearing.
- No Auto-Play: Media does not auto-play with sound. Any media controls are keyboard accessible.
- Readable Content: We write content in plain language and use clear headings and short paragraphs to aid comprehension.
Known Limitations and Workarounds
While we strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA across the entire site, some areas may not fully conform. Known limitations include:
- Third-Party Content: Some third-party tools and embedded content (such as maps, social media feeds, or chat widgets) may not fully conform to our accessibility standards. We work with vendors to improve accessibility and provide alternatives where possible.
- Legacy PDF Documents: Older PDF documents may not be fully accessible. If you need an accessible version of a document, please contact us and we will provide an alternative format.
- Complex Data Tables: Some data visualizations may have limited screen reader support. We are actively working to improve these experiences.
We are actively working to resolve these limitations. If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us and we will work to provide the information in an accessible format or through an alternative means.
