Why Catapult

Drug testing that works for you and your applicants

Maintaining a drug-free workplace does not have to be complicated. Catapult partners with the two largest laboratory networks in the country, Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp, giving your applicants and employees access to thousands of convenient collection sites across all 50 states.

Applicant-friendly scheduling

Unlike providers that assign the nearest lab, our system lets applicants pick the location that fits their schedule, near work, home, or anywhere in between. The result is faster completions, fewer no-shows, and less friction in your hiring process.

Testing options

Flexible drug testing for every situation

Whether you need pre-employment screens, random testing, or post-incident protocols, Catapult has you covered.

Pre-employment testing

Screen candidates before they join your team. Standard panels available with options to customize based on your industry and role requirements.

Random and periodic testing

Maintain a drug-free workplace with ongoing testing programs. We help you build compliant random selection pools and manage the scheduling.

Post-incident and reasonable suspicion

When an incident occurs or there is reasonable cause for concern, we facilitate rapid testing with proper documentation and chain of custody.

Multi-state employers

Built for employers operating across state lines

Running a testing program in one state is straightforward. Running one across several is where most programs come apart.

One program, every stateA single provider relationship covering all 50 states, rather than a patchwork of regional labs with different paperwork and different turnaround times.
Applicants are never the bottleneckIn a multi-state workforce the nearest assigned lab is often nowhere near the candidate. Letting applicants choose from the combined Quest and LabCorp network is what keeps completion rates up when your hires are spread out.
State law is not uniformTesting rules, permitted panels, and marijuana provisions vary by state and continue to change. Build your policy against the states you actually operate in, and revisit it as those laws move.
Consistent chain of custodyElectronic chain of custody across both lab networks, so documentation looks the same regardless of which site the applicant used.
Pairs with the rest of the screenMost employers order drug screening alongside pre-employment screening, and fleet employers add MVR monitoring.

FAQs

Drug screening questions

Which labs does Catapult use?
Quest Diagnostics and LabCorp, the two largest laboratory networks in the country. Between them you get access to thousands of collection sites across all 50 states through a single relationship with Catapult.
Can applicants choose where they go?
Yes, and this is the main practical difference from providers that assign the nearest site. Applicants pick the location that fits their schedule, which reduces no-shows and speeds up completion.
What types of drug testing do you support?
Pre-employment screening, random and periodic testing including help building compliant random selection pools, and post-incident or reasonable suspicion testing with proper documentation and chain of custody.
Do you support employers in multiple states?
Yes. Coverage spans all 50 states through the combined Quest and LabCorp network, under one program with consistent electronic chain of custody. Note that testing law varies by state, so your policy should be written against the states you operate in.
What is an MRO and why does it matter?
A Medical Review Officer is a licensed physician who reviews results before they are reported. Their role is to check whether a positive has a legitimate medical explanation, such as a valid prescription. Results through both of our lab partners are MRO-reviewed.
How fast are results?
Both networks offer rapid turnaround with electronic chain of custody and secure electronic delivery. Negative results are typically the fastest; a result requiring MRO review takes longer by design.
