Why it matters here

HR training challenges facing Franklin teams

Hiring pressure does not let up around Franklin: Tennessee employers posted job openings at an average monthly rate of 4.3 percent in 2025 (BLS JOLTS state estimates, retrieved 2026-07-27). Every unfilled seat raises the value of the people already on payroll, and across the 137,573 private-sector jobs in Williamson County, keeping them is a management skills problem before it is a pay problem.

Tennessee employment context

HR compliance for Tennessee employers

Tennessee has no harassment prevention training mandate, and its enforcement machinery changed in 2025: the Tennessee Human Rights Commission was dissolved on June 30, 2025, and enforcement of the Tennessee Human Rights Act, which covers employers with 8 or more employees, moved to a new Civil Rights Enforcement Division in the Attorney General’s office. Pending state complaints had to be refiled, and many Franklin employers now deal with the EEOC’s Memphis District Office as the primary venue. Tennessee produced 2,942 EEOC charge receipts in fiscal year 2025, the ninth-highest state total in the country (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27). Documented manager training remains the reasonable-care standard federal courts recognize. Catapult’s live online sessions give Franklin managers that documentation: instructor-led training with a completion record for every attendee.

Good to know

Franklin HR training questions

Does the Tennessee Human Rights Act apply to small Franklin employers?

From 8 employees, yes, a lower floor than federal Title VII’s 15. Since July 2025 the Act is enforced by the Attorney General’s Civil Rights Enforcement Division rather than the dissolved Human Rights Commission. A 10-person Franklin firm sits under state discrimination law even though federal harassment statutes do not reach it yet.

Yes. Every public session runs live online, so a Franklin team joins the same class as attendees anywhere in the country. Times are posted in Eastern Time, and a noon Eastern start is an 11:00 AM seat locally. The only physical classrooms are in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina.

Leadership and management, harassment prevention and compliance, professional development, technology skills and HR certification prep, live online or privately on-site. The compliance and frontline-management courses map directly to the people issues health care employers around Franklin handle every week.

Yes, most courses carry both HRCI and SHRM recertification credit. Locally that is no small thing: the Nashville-Davidson–Murfreesboro–Franklin, TN area employs 8,210 HR specialists (BLS OEWS, May 2025), each needing 60 recertification credits every 3 years. Completion records arrive after every session.

Yes. Private delivery works two ways for Franklin organizations: a live online session reserved for your team, or facilitators on-site at your location. Content can be tailored to your policies, and scheduling follows your calendar and time zone.
