Why it matters here

HR training challenges facing Connecticut teams

State law requires 2 hours of harassment prevention training for all employees at employers of 3 or more (CGS 46a-54(15)). That obligation lands on real numbers: 1,467,965 private-sector jobs across 145,802 establishments in Connecticut in 2025 (BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, 2025 annual averages, retrieved 2026-07-27). Catapult keeps the managers behind those jobs trained and current.

Local roots

Serving employers across Connecticut

Connecticut employers faced 338 EEOC charge receipts in fiscal year 2025 (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27), and every one started as a workplace conversation somebody mishandled. Catapult trains the managers behind Connecticut’s 1,467,965 private-sector jobs (BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, 2025 annual averages, retrieved 2026-07-27) live online, statewide, with private delivery for whole teams.

Good to know

Connecticut HR training questions

Is sexual harassment training required in Connecticut?

Yes. Employers with 3 or more employees must give every employee 2 hours of sexual harassment prevention training, and smaller employers must train supervisors, under General Statutes section 46a-54(15). New hires must be trained within 6 months. The Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities enforces the requirement and offers free online training.

Employment law guidance reviewed by Karol Dixon, Senior HR Advisor, and Cindy Satter, Senior HR Advisor, SHRM-SCP, PHR. See Catapult HR Advisors.

Distance is not a barrier. All open-enrollment courses run live online, and Connecticut teams attend alongside peers nationwide. Session times are listed in Eastern Time, which matches Connecticut’s clock exactly. Private on-site delivery is the alternative when you want a room of your own people.

Everything an HR team buys training for: compliance and harassment prevention, manager development, professional skills, technology and certification prep. Course pages show upcoming dates, and any session can be delivered privately for a Connecticut group, online or at your site.

Most of them carry credit. Courses list HRCI and SHRM credit on their registration pages, and attendees receive completion records for their recertification files. Both credentialing bodies work on 3-year cycles, so a steady course cadence beats a last-minute scramble.

Yes. Catapult delivers private training for Connecticut organizations two ways: facilitators travel to your site, or run a live online session reserved for your team, scheduled around your calendar.
