Why it matters here
HR training challenges facing El Paso teams
Turnover keeps grinding on El Paso teams: across Texas, workers quit at an average monthly rate of 2.18 percent in 2025 (BLS JOLTS state estimates, 2025 annual average, retrieved 2026-07-28), and every departure lands extra load on the managers who stay. With 269,337 private-sector jobs in El Paso County (BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, 2025 annual averages, retrieved 2026-07-27), supervisors who can coach and retain people are the cheapest lever an employer here has.

Texas employment context
HR compliance for Texas employers
Texas does not require private employers to provide harassment prevention training; the only Texas training mandate, Labor Code section 21.010, covers state agency employees. What Texas does have is an unusually broad sexual harassment law. Since September 1, 2021, chapter 21 of the Labor Code reaches employers with as few as one employee for sexual harassment claims, holds them to an “immediate and appropriate corrective action” standard, and gives workers 300 days to file, up from 180 for other claims. The Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division enforces it alongside the EEOC, which logged 9,360 Texas charge receipts in fiscal year 2025 (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27), the most of any state. Documented manager training is the practical way to make the corrective-action standard real. Catapult’s live online sessions give El Paso teams documented, instructor-led training with a completion record for your files.

Good to know
El Paso HR training questions
Do small El Paso employers fall under Texas harassment law?
Yes. Since September 1, 2021, Texas sexual harassment protections apply to employers with as few as one employee, far below federal Title VII’s 15-employee floor. Even the smallest El Paso shops carry that exposure, which is why basic supervisor training makes sense well before the first HR hire.
Yes. Every session is live online and open to anyone in Texas. Sessions are scheduled on Eastern Time and El Paso is on Mountain Time, 2 hours behind Eastern, so a noon Eastern start is a 10:00 AM seat locally. In-person seats exist only in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; everywhere else attends virtually.
The catalog covers leadership and management, harassment prevention, professional development, technology skills and HRCI and SHRM certification prep. For El Paso employers, demand concentrates where local employment does: health care accounts for 50,094 jobs in El Paso County (BLS QCEW, 2025 annual averages).
Yes. Most Catapult courses carry HRCI and SHRM recertification credit, and both bodies run 3-year, 60-credit recertification cycles, so regular attendance keeps HR professionals current without a scramble. Every attendee receives a completion record for their files.
Yes. Catapult delivers private training for El Paso organizations two ways: facilitators travel to your site, or run a live online session reserved for your team, scheduled around your calendar and your time zone.
