Why it matters here

HR training challenges facing San Antonio teams

Hiring and keeping people is the daily fight for San Antonio employers. Bexar County counts 780,109 private-sector jobs (BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, 2025 annual averages, retrieved 2026-07-27), and 93 percent of its 39,726 employer establishments have fewer than 50 employees (Census County Business Patterns, 2023, retrieved 2026-07-27). Most of those workplaces run without a full HR bench, so when a complaint or a resignation lands, it lands on a working manager first.

Texas employment context

HR compliance for Texas employers

Texas does not require private employers to provide harassment prevention training; the only Texas training mandate, Labor Code section 21.010, covers state agency employees. What Texas does have is an unusually broad sexual harassment law. Since September 1, 2021, chapter 21 of the Labor Code reaches employers with as few as one employee for sexual harassment claims, holds them to an “immediate and appropriate corrective action” standard, and gives workers 300 days to file, up from 180 for other claims. The Texas Workforce Commission Civil Rights Division enforces it alongside the EEOC, which logged 9,360 Texas charge receipts in fiscal year 2025 (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27), the most of any state. Documented manager training is the practical way to make the corrective-action standard real. Catapult delivers that training to San Antonio teams live online, and every attendee leaves a completion record behind.

Good to know

San Antonio HR training questions

Does Texas require sexual harassment training for supervisors?

No statute requires it. But Texas law holds employers to an immediate and appropriate corrective action standard on sexual harassment, and an untrained supervisor is usually why a response fails that test. San Antonio employers typically train supervisors on a fixed two-year cycle and keep the completion records.

Distance is not a barrier. All open-enrollment courses run live online, and San Antonio teams attend alongside peers nationwide. Because sessions are posted in Eastern Time, a noon Eastern start is an 11:00 AM seat locally. Private on-site delivery is the alternative when you want a room of your own people.

Leadership and management, harassment prevention and compliance, professional development, technology skills and HR certification prep, delivered live online or privately on-site. The compliance and frontline-management courses map directly to the people issues health care employers around San Antonio handle daily.

Most do. Courses list HRCI and SHRM credit on their registration pages, and attendees receive completion records for their recertification files. Both credentialing bodies work on 3-year cycles, so a steady course cadence beats a last-minute scramble.

Yes. Bring a cohort and Catapult will run the session for your organization alone, live online or at your San Antonio site, tailored to your policies, with the same recertification credit and completion records as the public sessions.
