Why it matters here

HR training challenges facing Denver teams

Recruiting pressure stays high around Denver: Colorado employers posted job openings at an average monthly rate of 4.1 percent in 2025 (BLS JOLTS state estimates, retrieved 2026-07-27). Every open seat makes keeping the people you already have more valuable, and across the City and County of Denver’s 485,804 private-sector jobs, that is a management skills problem before it is a pay problem.

Colorado employment context

HR compliance for Colorado employers

Colorado does not mandate harassment prevention training for private employers. The Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act covers employers of every size and is enforced by the Colorado Civil Rights Division. The standard tightened in August 2023, when the POWR Act (SB 23-172) removed the old severe-or-pervasive test, so unwelcome conduct based on a protected class can now be unlawful harassment well before it becomes extreme. That makes early, documented manager training more valuable, not less. Colorado employers also generated 1,290 EEOC charge receipts in fiscal year 2025 (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27), on top of state filings. Under the federal Faragher and Ellerth decisions, a genuine policy plus documented supervisor training gives an employer an affirmative defense to supervisor harassment claims. Catapult’s live online sessions give Denver teams documented, instructor-led training with completion records for your files.

Good to know

Denver HR training questions

Is harassment prevention training required in Denver?

No. Neither Denver nor Colorado requires private employers to provide harassment prevention training. The Colorado Anti-Discrimination Act still applies to employers of every size, and since the 2023 POWR Act unwelcome conduct can be unlawful before it becomes severe or pervasive. Documented manager training is the practical defense.

Yes, Denver teams attend every course live online. There is no travel: sessions stream to your desk and the calendar runs year-round. Sessions are posted in Eastern Time, so a noon Eastern start is a 10:00 AM seat locally. If you prefer a classroom, the in-person rooms are in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina.

The catalog covers leadership and management, harassment prevention, professional development, technology skills and HRCI and SHRM certification prep. For Denver employers, demand concentrates where local employment does: professional services accounts for 79,310 jobs in the City and County of Denver (BLS QCEW, 2025 annual averages).

Nearly all. HRCI and SHRM approval is listed on each course page, and completion certificates document your hours. If your team holds PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP credentials, Catapult sessions slot directly into their recertification plans.

Yes. Private delivery works two ways for Denver organizations: a live online session reserved for your team, or facilitators on-site at your location. Content can be tailored to your policies, and scheduling follows your calendar and your time zone.
