Why it matters here
HR training challenges facing Miami teams
Miami-Dade County holds 1,137,654 private-sector jobs (BLS Quarterly Census of Employment and Wages, 2025 annual averages, retrieved 2026-07-27) across 98,394 employer establishments, and 97 percent of those establishments run with fewer than 50 people (Census County Business Patterns, 2023, retrieved 2026-07-27). At that size there is usually no HR specialist down the hall, so the manager’s first response is the company’s response.
Founded in Charlotte in 1958. Now serving Florida employers with live online HR training.
Average monthly quits rate across Florida in 2025 (BLS JOLTS state estimates, retrieved 2026-07-27). Supervisor skills decide who stays.
Most courses approved for recertification credit, with completion records.

Florida employment context
HR compliance for Florida employers
Florida does not require private employers to provide harassment prevention training. The Florida Civil Rights Act of 1992 prohibits workplace discrimination and harassment at employers with 15 or more employees and is enforced by the Florida Commission on Human Relations, alongside federal Title VII through the EEOC’s Miami District Office. Florida employers generated 6,784 EEOC charge receipts in fiscal year 2025, the second-highest state total in the country (EEOC Table E1b, FY 2025, retrieved 2026-07-27). No mandate does not mean no exposure: documented manager training is the recognized mark of reasonable care under federal case law, and it is the first thing a defense lawyer asks a Miami employer to produce. Catapult’s live online sessions give Miami managers that documentation: instructor-led training with a completion record for every attendee.

Miami HR training questions
Is Miami in Dade County or Miami-Dade County?
Miami-Dade County: voters renamed Dade County in 1997, and no employer document should still say otherwise. Employment rules are the same countywide: the Florida Civil Rights Act covers employers with 15 or more employees, enforced by the Florida Commission on Human Relations alongside the EEOC’s Miami District Office.
Yes. Every session is live online and open to anyone in Florida. Course times are posted in Eastern Time and Miami is on Eastern Time, so published session times are your local times, with no conversion to do. In-person seats exist only in Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina; everywhere else attends virtually.
Leadership and management, harassment prevention and compliance, professional development, technology skills and HR certification prep, live online or privately on-site. The compliance and frontline-management courses map directly to the people issues health care employers around Miami handle every week.
Yes, most courses carry both HRCI and SHRM recertification credit. Locally that is no small thing: the Miami-Fort Lauderdale-West Palm Beach, FL area employs 18,080 HR specialists (BLS OEWS, May 2025), each needing 60 recertification credits every 3 years. Completion records arrive after every session.
Yes. Private delivery works two ways for Miami organizations: a live online session reserved for your team, or facilitators on-site at your location. Content can be tailored to your policies, and scheduling follows your calendar and time zone.
